abstract | It is possible to prevent performance deterioration due to deviation of a resonance frequency of a fiber due to individual differences of devices or changes with time, and to appropriately adjust a driving frequency. An optical scanning method according to the present invention includes a resonance frequency detection step (step S02) for detecting a resonance frequency of a tip portion of a fiber supported so as to be swingable, and based on the detected resonance frequency. A driving frequency determining step (step S03) for determining a driving frequency of the tip of the fiber; and light is emitted from the tip of the fiber and the tip of the fiber is driven to vibrate by the determined driving frequency.
