titleOfInvention Neuroblastoma treatment
abstract A neuroblastoma high-risk group patient has a poor prognosis because it frequently metastasizes and relapses despite intense treatment using surgical resection, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and the like. For relapse cases, chemotherapeutic agents conventionally used for the treatment of neuroblastoma such as cisplatin are ineffective, and no effective treatment has been established at present. The present inventors have identified a gene (LMO1 target gene) that regulates the expression of the transcription factor LMO1, which has been shown by previous studies to function in a tumor-promoting manner in neuroblastoma. Multiple molecular pathways (LMO1 molecular pathways) that function to promote tumors in neuroblastoma were estimated. Molecular inhibitors that inhibit these molecular pathways were administered to cultured neuroblastoma cells, and they were shown to suppress the proliferation of neuroblastoma cells.
