titleOfInvention | Method for producing cationized hydroxyalkyl cellulose |
abstract | Disclosed is a method for producing a powdered cationized hydroxyalkyl cellulose, in which caking is suppressed and water solubility is excellent. A process for producing a powdered cationized hydroxyalkyl cellulose having the following steps (1) to (3). Step (1): Powdered raw material cellulose is reacted with an alkylene oxide and a cationizing agent in the presence of 10% by mass to 100% by mass of water with respect to the raw material cellulose to obtain a crude cationized hydroxyalkyl cellulose. Step Step (2): Water is removed from the crude cationized hydroxyalkyl cellulose obtained in Step (1) using a mechanically stirred mixer under conditions of atmospheric pressure or lower and 40 ° C. or higher and 80 ° C. or lower, Step of obtaining a cationized hydroxyalkyl cellulose that has been subjected to a drying process Step (3): From the cationized hydroxyalkyl cellulose that has been subjected to a drying process obtained in step (2), under conditions of atmospheric pressure or lower and 40 ° C. or higher and 80 ° C. or lower. The process of removing volatiles using a fluidized bed dryer to obtain powdered cationized hydroxyalkyl cellulose [selection figure] |
