The above problem was solved. At this time, it is preferable that the paste electrolyte contains phosphoric acid. The vanadium redox battery 10 includes a positive electrode 1, a vanadium electrolyte 2 for positive electrode formed by oxidizing electrolysis of vanadium electrolyte, a diaphragm 3, a vanadium electrolyte 4 for negative electrode formed by reducing electrolysis of vanadium electrolyte, and a negative electrode 5 in that order.
