Immunostimulatory viral RNA oligonucleotide |
abstract |
A novel immunostimulatory composition for stimulating an immune response is provided. An immunostimulatory sequence-specific RNA oligonucleotide corresponding to the 3 ′ end sequence of single-stranded negative-sense RNA genomic RNA, and further 5′-C / U-UG / U-. Compositions and methods related to the immunostimulatory 4-mer RNA motif provided as U-3 ′ are included. This short RNA motif incorporation is sufficient to confer new and altered immunostimulatory properties in new and existing oligonucleotides, including CpG oligodeoxynucleotides. Also for the use of the immunostimulatory RNA oligonucleotides and DNA: RNA chimeric oligonucleotides of the invention to induce an immune response in vitro and in vivo and to treat allergies, asthma, infections and cancer in a subject This method is also included.
