Provided is a synthesis method for obtaining alkylalkanolamines having high yield and high purity without using an epoxide-type raw material. Carbonyl compounds such as acetone, hydroxyacetone, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), and methyl propyl ketone in the presence of hydrogen and a catalyst such as Ni-based, Co-based or Cu-based Raney catalyst, palladium (Pd / C type).
