titleOfInvention Endoscope system and method of operation
abstract An object of the present invention is to reduce artifacts of biological function information generated during magnified observation. An endoscope system 10 includes an endoscope 12, a sensor 48, a first light source device 14, a probe 25, and a second light source device 26. The endoscope 12 has an insertion portion 12 that is inserted into a specimen. The sensor 48 images the sample and outputs an image signal. The first light source device 14 irradiates the specimen with the first illumination light through the insertion unit 12. The probe 25 is inserted through a forceps channel 27 provided in the insertion portion 12. The second light source device 26 irradiates the first illumination light with the second illumination light having a spectrum equivalent to the first illumination light in at least two wavelength bands through the probe 25.
