titleOfInvention | Bulk freeze drying using spray freezing and stirring drying |
abstract | A method for freeze-drying bulk material in an efficient manner without loss of sterility is provided. A method of freeze-drying a bulk product containing a liquid, the method comprising spraying the bulk product into a freeze bath and spraying a freeze agent into the freeze bath, wherein the freeze is performed. An agent mixes with the sprayed bulk product to freeze the liquid contained in the bulk product to produce a frozen powder before the product falls to the bottom of the freeze bath; and Exposing the frozen powder to a vacuum without moving the frozen powder in a tank; stirring the frozen powder under vacuum using a mechanical stirring mechanism; and heating the frozen powder to produce the bulk product. Sublimating a frozen liquid therein to form a lyophilized product and returning the lyophilized product to atmospheric pressure. [Selection] Figure 5 |
