abstract |
An LED module capable of improving efficiency and reliability and an illumination device including the same are provided. A light emitting device including a semiconductor light emitting element, a case that houses the semiconductor light emitting element and having a reflector function, a mixture of a phosphor and a sealing resin filled in the case, and a lens. Substantially the entire side surface and the light emitting surface of the LED module are covered with a lens formed by potting the light emitting side surface of the case and the entire light emitting surface of the LED module.
