abstract |
Provided is a magnetic carrier which prevents carrier adhesion and damage to an electrophotographic apparatus due to destruction of magnetic carrier particles, has a stable charge imparting ability even in long-term use, and does not deteriorate developability. A magnetic carrier having a resin coating layer on the surface of particles in which pores of porous magnetic particles are filled with resin, i) The surface roughness Ra of the porous magnetic particles is 0.180 μm or more and 0.250 μm or less, ii) The pore diameter is 0.40 μm or more and 1.00 μm or less, iii) The amount of filled resin is 3.0 parts by mass or more and 5.5 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the porous magnetic particles, iv) The amount of the coating resin is 1.0 part by mass or more and 3.0 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the porous magnetic particles, v) The surface roughness Ra of the magnetic carrier is 0.160 μm or more and 0.220 μm or less.
