abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyzer and a refrigerator in which hydrogenation reaction is suppressed and efficiency is high. An electrolysis apparatus according to an embodiment is an electrolysis having a membrane electrode assembly including an anode, a cathode having a carbon alloy catalyst into which nitrogen is introduced, and an electrolyte disposed between the anode and the cathode. An electrolytic device comprising at least a cell and applying voltage to an anode and a cathode, wherein the electrolyte is either acidic, neutral or alkaline, and when the electrolyte is acidic, water is generated at the cathode by the electrolytic device. When the electrolyte is neutral or alkaline, hydroxide ions are generated at the anode by the electrolytic device. [Selection] Figure 3 |
