titleOfInvention Selection of preferred sample handling and processing protocols for disease biomarker identification and sample quality assessment
abstract The present invention relates to a method for obtaining biological samples of improved quality. This includes the identification of markers or proteins in biological samples that have been altered due to variations in sample collection, manipulation and processing. They are further useful to correct for variations in results measured for disease biomarkers. Furthermore, they can allow rejection of a sample or group of samples as needed if it is determined that these collection methods are not in accordance with a predetermined protocol. Other advantages that are useful to those skilled in the art are described herein.
