abstract | The present invention discloses a one-pot method for the arylation of β-dicarbonyl compounds. In particular, the present invention was a chemoselective one-pot process without transition metals for C-arylation of malonamide esters having formula I in the room temperature range to obtain arylated compounds of formula II in good yield. Thus, disclosed is a method wherein the arylated compound is selected from a monoarylated compound and a diarylated compound or mixtures thereof. |
