abstract |
The present invention relates to a multilayer tubular part (1) comprising a metal layer forming a metal tubular body (3) and two layers made of a ceramic matrix composite material covering the metal tubular body. One of the two layers made of material covers the inner surface of the metal tubular body to form an inner tubular body (4), while the two layers made of the ceramic matrix composite material The other of them covers the outer surface of the metallic tubular body to form an outer tubular body (2), whereby the metallic tubular body is sandwiched between the inner tubular body and the outer tubular body. The metal tubular body is made of a metal or a metal alloy. The metal tubular body has an average thickness that is smaller than the average thickness of the inner and outer tubular bodies. The tubular part is particularly useful for producing nuclear fuel cladding. |
