An in vitro process for preparing virus-like particles (VLPs) from recombinant papaya mosaic virus coat protein and ssRNA, providing a process that allows high-volume mass production of VLPs. Also provided is a VLP containing ssRNA prepared by the in vitro process. The VLP can be used as an adjuvant, and can be used as a vaccine when fused with an antigen. Further provided is the use of said VLP to stimulate an innate immune response. [Selection] Figure 3 |
