Embodiments described herein relate generally to a payment card and a payment card manufacturing method. In one embodiment, the card comprises a first layer and a second layer adjacent to the first layer. The second layer includes a plurality of particles comprising a metal, the plurality of particles comprising at least about 15% by volume of the second layer. In another embodiment, a mixture comprising a polymer and a plurality of particles comprising a metal is prepared. The plurality of particles comprises at least about 15% by volume of the mixture. This mixture is pressed to provide an outer layer. Next, the mixture and the outer layer are cut to form a card. |
