abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin copolymerized with lactic acid or a compound derived therefrom and isosorbide, having a high content of a compound derived from biomass, excellent in heat resistance and hue, and a method for producing the same. The polyester resin includes a diacid component containing terephthalic acid; a diol component containing 1 to 60 mol% isosorbide and 1 to 90 mol% ethylene glycol with respect to the total diol component; and total resin polymerization. 1 to 50% by weight of lactic acid or a compound derived therefrom is copolymerized with respect to the reaction product to obtain a diacid portion derived from the diacid component, a diol portion derived from the diol component, and It has a structure in which a hydroxy monoacid moiety derived from the lactic acid or a compound derived therefrom is repeated.
