Aqueous stable composition for delivering a substrate for a hair removal product using peracetic acid |
abstract |
Disclosed herein are compositions and methods for delivering substrates for hair removal products using enzymatically generated peracids. More specifically, (a) a first aqueous composition comprising hydrogen peroxide and at least one carboxylic acid ester substrate, wherein the pH of the first aqueous composition is 4.0 or less; (B) a pH-stabilized two-component system comprising an enzyme catalyst having perhydrolysis activity and a second aqueous component comprising a buffer, wherein the pH of the second aqueous composition is at least 5.0. And the first and second aqueous compositions are kept separate until used. The perhydrolase catalyst may be in the form of a fusion protein comprising a perhydrolase linked via an optional peptide linker to a peptide component having affinity for hair. |
