In a refrigeration apparatus using a refrigerant mainly composed of hydrofluoroolefin, there is provided a refrigeration apparatus ensuring reliability and high efficiency by suppressing generation of a polymer generated in a refrigeration cycle. A compressor includes a single refrigerant containing a hydrofluoroolefin having a double bond between carbon and carbon, or a working refrigerant mixed with a hydrofluorocarbon that always contains at least a double bond and does not have a double bond. To the compressor through the condenser 121, the expansion mechanism 122, and the evaporator 123, the refrigerant circulation path through which the refrigerant circulates, and the kinematic viscosity of the refrigerating machine oil during the operation of the compressor 120 is 0.1 mm 2 / s. The above configuration is 100 mm 2 / s. As a result, the generation of the polymer can be suppressed by preventing the occurrence of a high-pressure and high-temperature state, which are the generation conditions of the refrigerant polymer, and the deterioration and breakage of the equipment in the refrigeration apparatus due to the polymer can be prevented.
