abstract |
An object of the present invention is to reliably increase the pressure loss of a particulate filter due to ash while reliably collecting particulate matter. A particulate filter is provided with an exhaust gas inflow passage 5i and an exhaust gas outflow passage 5o arranged alternately and a porous partition wall 6, and a coating in which a substrate surface is covered with a coating layer on the partition wall. A region and a non-coated region N in which the substrate surface is not covered with the coating layer are partitioned on the downstream side of the coating region. The pore diameter of the partition walls is set so that ash contained in the exhaust gas can pass through the partition walls in the uncoated region. The coat layer 8 includes a layer 8t formed from particles having a small average diameter and a layer 8b formed from particles having a large average diameter. [Selection] Figure 6 |
