abstract The present invention provides a non-aqueous electrolyte for a lithium ion battery that has a good cycle characteristic and a low temperature characteristic, in which an increase in resistance due to film formation on a negative electrode and a decrease in capacity are reduced. A nonaqueous electrolytic solution according to the present invention contains a nonaqueous solvent, an electrolyte, a cyclic sulfate ester or a cyclic sulfonate ester, and a thiol represented by the following chemical formula 1. The cyclic sulfate is 1,3,2-dioxathiolane-2,2-dioxide and the cyclic sulfonate is 1,3-propane sultone. [Selection figure] None
