abstract | The present invention provides an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in wear resistance and having both good dispersibility and good electrical characteristics. A surface layer of an electrophotographic photosensitive member is formed by the following first step and second step. In the first step, the tetrafluoroethylene monomer is polymerized by irradiating ionized radiation to a mixed solution of tetrafluoroethylene monomer and acetone, and the mixed solution is converted into an acetone solvent dispersion of polytetrafluoroethylene in a gel state. And the acetone dispersion system in the gel state is irradiated with the ionizing radiation to crosslink the polytetrafluoroethylene of the acetone solvent dispersion system. In the second step, the surface layer is formed using at least raw materials of crosslinked polytetrafluoroethylene particles and a binder resin. [Selection figure] None |
