Heat-stabilized molding composition |
abstract |
The present invention provides a molding composition having good heat aging characteristics that can provide an automobile part used in high-temperature automobile applications. A non-fiber reinforced thermoplastic molding composition comprising 0.01 to 10 parts by weight of a metal powder as a heat stabilizer system with respect to 100 parts by weight of the composition, the metal powder having a weight average particle size of 1 mm at the maximum. The metal in the metal powder having a diameter (dm) is elemental iron. The composition comprises a semicrystalline or amorphous thermoplastic polyamide and a second thermoplastic polymer having a melting or glass transition temperature of at least 20 ° C. and optionally a non-fibrous inorganic filler. It also relates to the use of these compositions and high temperature applications. [Selection figure] None |
