abstract | An imaging device and a method of manufacturing the same that reduce the substantial amount of ultraviolet rays irradiated to an organic photoelectric conversion film and suppress the deterioration of the organic photoelectric conversion film are provided. An imaging apparatus includes a substrate having a pixel region and a peripheral region, an organic photoelectric conversion film provided on the pixel region, and a counter provided sequentially on the organic photoelectric conversion film. An electrode film 123, a protective film 124, and a sealing film 125 are provided. At least one of the protective film and the sealing film is made of an ultraviolet light shielding material, and the ultraviolet light shielding material has a light transmittance of 70% or more in a wavelength region of 400 nm or more, and transmits light in a wavelength region of 320 nm or more and less than 400 nm.
