An imaging apparatus capable of reducing the influence of a shift in threshold voltage of a transistor and realizing high reliability, and an imaging display system including such an imaging apparatus are provided. An imaging device is provided in a pixel portion having a plurality of pixels each including a photoelectric conversion element, a field-effect first transistor provided in the pixel portion, and a peripheral circuit portion of the pixel portion.
