The present invention provides an air quality purification apparatus capable of performing effective air quality purification while suppressing or avoiding generation of unpleasant sensation due to a odor of a carki or a pool. A control device 11 calculates a hypochlorous acid aqueous solution concentration X3 by multiplying a free residual chlorine concentration X1 by a hypochlorous acid existing ratio X2 obtained from a hydrogen ion concentration, and this hypochlorous acid aqueous solution. The hypochlorous acid vapor-liquid equilibrium concentration X4 is calculated using the concentration X3 and the vapor-liquid equilibrium constant, and the humidification efficiency obtained from the flow rate of the ventilation air and the temperature and humidity of the ventilation air is calculated as the hypochlorous acid vapor-liquid equilibrium concentration X4. The hypochlorous acid gas release amount X5 is calculated by multiplying by and is controlled so that the hypochlorous acid gas release amount X5 becomes a predetermined target value.
