abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled cleaner in which the frequency of maintenance such as replacement of a cleaning brush is reduced by reducing wrinkles generated in the cleaning brush. SOLUTION: Traveling means for traveling a casing, a dust collecting part for collecting dust removed from the floor, and a cleaning brush that is rotatably provided on the casing and sweeps and cleans the floor by rotating. And a cleaning brush driving unit that drives the cleaning brush, and a control unit that controls the traveling means and travels, and controls the cleaning brush driving unit to rotate the cleaning brush. Control is performed so that the dust is rotated in the forward direction leading to the dust collecting unit, and the cleaning brush is controlled to rotate in the reverse direction for a predetermined period.
