titleOfInvention Method and apparatus for bidirectional relay scheme using physical layer network coding
abstract A method and apparatus for two-way relay wireless communication capable of reducing the number of time slots for transmission are provided. A first device simultaneously receives signals from a source node and a target node in a time slot. The first device receives subsequent signals simultaneously from the source node and the plurality of target nodes in the next subsequent time slot and applies hierarchical modulation to the received signals. The first device decodes the received signal, generates a plurality of intermediate bit sequences (IBS) for broadcast transmission, and groups the generated IBS according to channel conditions. The second device is configured to receive the broadcast transmission and decode a portion of the broadcast transmission intended for the second device. [Selection] Figure 14
