abstract Provided are a CNT dispersant based on an inorganic compound capable of appropriately dispersing CNTs in a dispersion medium, a method for producing the same, a CNT dispersion, a method for producing the same, and the like. The counter anion of a predetermined ladder type PSQ having chloride ions as counter anions is converted from chloride ions to iodide ions, and then the counter anions are converted from iodide ions to triiodide ions. Carbon nanotubes are added to the solution in which the CNT dispersant thus obtained is dissolved, and then the solution is irradiated with ultrasonic waves. [Selection] Figure 1
