titleOfInvention | Method and apparatus for removing carbon dioxide |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to suppress a decrease in performance of an absorbing solution caused by nitrogen oxides in a gas to be treated. A gas to be treated containing at least nitrogen oxides in addition to oxygen and carbon dioxide is brought into contact with an absorption liquid containing alkanolamine and water in an absorption tower 13 to absorb the carbon dioxide in the absorption liquid. The carbon-absorbed absorption liquid is introduced into the regeneration tower 15 and heated to desorb carbon dioxide from the absorption liquid, and the carbon-desorbed absorption liquid is returned to the absorption tower 13 and recirculated. In the method for removing carbon dioxide in the gas, an alkali metal hydroxide is added to the absorption liquid before the carbon dioxide is desorbed and returned to the absorption tower 13.
