abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organopolysiloxane having a high refractive index, monodispersed and cured to form a cured product having an appropriate elastic modulus, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: Average unit formula: (R 1 R 2 SiO 2/2 ) a (R 3 SiO 3/2 ) b (XO 1/2 ) c (In the formula, R 1 is an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group having 2 to 12 carbon atoms, or a phenyl group, and R 2 is an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms and an alkenyl having 2 to 12 carbon atoms. Group, phenyl group, or epoxy group-containing organic group, provided that at least one R 2 in one molecule is an epoxy group-containing organic group, and R 3 is a condensed polycyclic aromatic group or a condensed polycyclic aromatic group. A group-containing organic group, X is an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom, a is a number from 0.20 to 0.60, and b is a number from 0.40 to 0.80.
