abstract Kind Code: A1 A phosphor composition having light emission and thermal stability in a high temperature state similar to an yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) phosphor for a reliable white LED device. The phosphor composition includes a first oxynitride-based phosphor that emits green light and a second nitride-based phosphor that emits red light. When the weight ratio of the first oxynitride-based phosphor to the second nitride-based phosphor is from about 8: 2 to about 9: 1, the emission spectrum of the phosphor composition is 550 nm. Very similar to the emission spectrum of a yellow YAG phosphor with a peak. The phosphor composition emits light with CIE color coordinates that satisfy the equation y = 0.0805x 3 -154.06x 2 + 97017x-2E + 07. The first oxide based phosphor is expressed by M (II) a Si b O c N d C e, BACKGROUND phosphor of the second nitride-based is a phosphor composition represented by CaAlSiN 3 Figure 1
