abstract | The present invention provides a novel process for producing an industrially feasible poly (pentafluorosulfanyl) aromatic compound. An aryl sulfur compound is reacted with a halogen and a fluoro salt to form a poly (halotetrafluorosulfanyl) aromatic compound, and the resulting poly (halotetrafluorosulfanyl) aromatic compound is reacted with a fluoride source. A poly (pentafluorosulfanyl) aromatic compound of the following formula (1) is synthesized. (One or two of R1 to R5 are SF5 groups, and each of the remaining is H, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 18 C1, a nitro group, or a cyano group) [Selection figure] None |
