abstract |
An aqueous preparation containing water and protein and a method for producing the same are provided. The method is based on a diafiltration process in which a first solution containing the protein of interest is diafiltered using water as the diafiltration solvent. This process is carried out, for example, such that there is at least an exchange with a predetermined volume of water (for example an exchange of 5 volumes). [Effect] By carrying out the method of the present invention, the resulting aqueous preparation has a significant reduction in the total percentage of excipients compared to the initial protein solution. The aqueous formulations of the present invention can be high protein formulations and / or have low levels of conductivity resulting from low levels of ionic excipients.
