Disclosed is a pigment dispersion capable of providing a photosensitive resin composition having good dispersibility of a pigment after aging and capable of forming a fine pattern with high adhesion at a low exposure amount, and the same. A method for producing a photosensitive resin composition is provided. A pigment dispersion according to the present invention contains a pigment, a solvent, and a compound represented by the following formula (1). In the formula, R 1 and R 2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an organic group, but at least one of them represents an organic group. R 1 and R 2 may be bonded to each other to form a cyclic structure, and may include a hetero atom bond. R 3 represents a single bond or an organic group. R 4 to R 9 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an organic group or the like, but R 6 and R 7 do not become a hydroxyl group. R 10 represents a hydrogen atom or an organic group.
