abstract A hole transport material having excellent efficiency and life is provided. The present invention provides a novel material having a single phenyl or phenyl chain, wherein there is a nitrogen atom at each end of the single phenyl or phenyl chain. The nitrogen atom may be further substituted with specific thiophene, benzothiophene and triphenylene groups. An organic light emitting device is also provided, wherein the novel material is used as a hole transport material in the device.
