PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zirconia-containing epoxy resin composition whose surface is modified with zirconia particles to maintain transparency and improve the refractive index. SOLUTION To 100 parts by weight of an epoxy resin, 1 to 400 parts by weight of surface-modified zirconia particles having an average particle diameter of 1 to 20 nm and 0.01 to 10 parts by weight of a cationic photopolymerization initiator are contained.
