Trihydroxy polyunsaturated eicosanoid derivatives |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trihydroxy polyunsaturated eicosanoid derivative. The invention is characterized by a process for the preparation of naturally occurring trihydroxy polyunsaturated eicosanoids and their structural analogs. The present invention further provides novel derivatives and analogs of trihydroxy polyunsaturated eicosanoids that can be prepared by these methods. The present invention also provides trihydroxypoly for the prevention, amelioration and treatment of various diseases or conditions associated with inflammation or inflammatory response, autoimmune disease, rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular disease, or abnormal cell proliferation or cancer. Compositions and methods using unsaturated eicosanoids are provided. [Selection figure] None |
