titleOfInvention | Method for producing sodium bisulfite |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to use an absorption waste liquid generated in a desulfurization process of SO 2 gas, which is essential for detoxification, such as exhaust gas from metal smelting and exhaust gas from a sulfuric acid production process using the exhaust gas. To provide a method for producing sodium bisulfite capable of producing substantially usable sodium bisulfite (NaHSO 3 ) at a lower cost than before. SOLUTION: A final absorption step ST40 in which an sulfuric acid production exhaust gas 2 discharged from a sulfuric acid production step ST30 and an absorbent 3 containing caustic soda are reacted to obtain an absorption waste liquid 4 containing a sodium bisulfite component, and an absorption waste liquid 4 A sodium bisulfite quality improving step ST50 for increasing the sodium bisulfite quality component in the sodium bisulfite quality improving step ST50. The sodium bisulfite quality improving step ST50 is a product containing the sulfur component generated in the metal smelting step ST10. Let it be the manufacturing method of the sodium bisulfite which is the process of increasing the sodium bisulfite component in the absorption waste liquid 4 by making it react with the smelting exhaust gas 1.
