abstract The present invention provides a method for producing alloy nanoparticles capable of producing very small alloy nanoparticles by a simple operation without limiting the type of metal. A method for producing an alloy nanoparticle containing Au and at least one metal element other than Au, comprising preparing a solution containing metal ions of a target metal element other than Au, and at least in the prepared solution. A pair of electrodes, one of which is made of Au, is applied to generate a plasma in the solution by applying a voltage between the electrodes.
