abstract | The present invention provides a novel azuki bean-derived bone metabolism regulator (extract derived from a bone metabolism-regulated azuki bean) that is effective for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, focusing on an unused physiologically active ingredient of azuki bean. Prophylactic, therapeutic, or food products are provided. A supernatant is separated from a broth produced by ripening azuki bean (Vigna angularis) with hot water, and the supernatant is adsorbed on a synthetic adsorbent, and then 10% to 40% on the adsorbed synthetic adsorbent. Azuki bean-derived extract obtained by elution with the addition of an aqueous ethanol solution is used as an active ingredient, and the azuki bean-derived extract promotes differentiation into osteoblasts and suppresses differentiation into osteoclasts Azuki bean-derived bone metabolism regulator.
