abstract |
A method for assisting diagnosis of sensitivity to treatment with IFN-α is provided. A genetic marker on human chromosome 19 associated with a beneficial response to interferon alpha (IFN-α) is provided. These IFN-α response markers identify diseases that are most likely to benefit from treatment with IFN-α pharmaceutical compositions and drug products, especially to identify diseases that are susceptible to treatment with IFN-α. It is useful in methods for treating patients having and in methods for selecting the most appropriate therapy for such patients. [Selection figure] None |
