abstract The present invention provides a desalination system capable of stably desalinating salt water at low cost. A desalination system according to the present invention includes a desalination apparatus, a first pump for supplying pressurized salt water to the desalination apparatus, an osmotic pressure power generation apparatus, and a power generation apparatus using natural energy. The desalinator includes a reverse osmosis membrane that filters supplied salt water and separates it into fresh water and high-concentration salt water, a fresh water discharge port, and a high-concentration salt water discharge port. The apparatus includes a semi-permeable membrane, a high-concentration side channel and a low-concentration side channel partitioned by the semi-permeable membrane, a hydroelectric turbine, a water supply unit, and the high-concentration salt water in the high-concentration side channel. A high-concentration salt water supply unit that supplies high-concentration salt water discharged from the discharge outlet, and the osmotic pressure power generation device generates power when the power generation amount of the power generation device using the natural energy is reduced.
