abstract The present invention relates to an efficient and economical method for the production of protein A-like proteins. The production of protein A-like protein using gene recombination technology uses a host such as Escherichia coli or Bacillus subtilis, which is a major cause of high cost due to low productivity. Accordingly, there is a strong demand for the rapid establishment of a technique that enables inexpensive and mass production of protein A-like proteins using recombinant DNA techniques other than E. coli and Bacillus subtilis. The present invention is a method for mass production of a protein A-like protein, wherein the protein is secreted and expressed in a large amount into a culture solution by a recombinant Brevibacillus bacterium, and the accumulated protein A-like protein is separated from the culture solution.
