A synchronous boost converter installed in a single semiconductor package for the purpose of improving efficiency is provided. A boost converter includes a power stage including a control switch, a synchronous switch, and a driver stage in order. While driver stage 102 is formed in die 104, control switch 120 is formed in group III-V die 108 and synchronous switch 110 is formed in group III-V die 106. Boost converter 100 also includes an input inductor 105 and an output capacitor 107, both elements being coupled to a power stage 125. Boost converter 100 receives input voltage VIN at input 103 of boost converter 100 and supplies the converted voltage, a high “boost” voltage Vout, to output terminal 109 of boost converter 100.
