A rotating electrical machine having a coil end reduced in size is provided. A stator core having a stator core formed with a plurality of slots arranged in the circumferential direction, a stator having a stator coil inserted into the slot of the stator core, and the stator core. The stator coil includes a plurality of segment coils 28 made of a conductor having a rectangular cross section formed in a substantially U shape. The rotating electric machine is configured such that the segment coil has a connection portion 800 connected to another segment coil at an end portion, and the connection portion has a corner portion 810.
