PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conventional mesoporous ceramics using diatomaceous earth, whose color tone is limited by the coloring of iron contained therein, has become a bottleneck for expanding applications. SOLUTION: Using diatomaceous earth produced in Meiwabetsu, Wakkanai City, Hokkaido, formed by strong reduction geological diagenesis, it can be whitened by oxidation and firing at 600-1000 ° C, thereby improving its function and design. It was also possible to produce mesoporous ceramics. [Selection] Figure 1 |
