abstract |
The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device in which generation of rainbow spots is suppressed when an oriented polyester film is used as a polarizer protective film for both of a pair of polarizing plates. A polarizer protective film having a coating layer on at least one surface of an oriented polyester film, wherein the oriented polyester film is a film having a retardation of 4000 to 30000 nm and an Nz coefficient of 1.70 or less. The layer includes a polyvinyl alcohol resin and a polyester resin, and the surface of the coating layer has a nanophase separation structure composed of a phase in which the polyvinyl alcohol resin is aggregated and a phase in which the polyester resin is aggregated. The polarizer protective film whose area ratio is 30% or more and less than 99%. [Selection figure] None |
