abstract The present invention provides a method for producing a carpet which does not require a time-consuming drying step and has excellent pile yarn pulling strength. According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a carpet manufacturing method including a skin layer 3 comprising a pile yarn 1 and a base fabric 2 and a backing layer 10 having a softening point of 90 to 160. After the hot melt adhesive 4 in the range of 0 ° C. is heated and melted, the hot melt adhesive 4 is applied to the base fabric side of the skin layer using a roll coater 5, thereby stitching the pile yarn 1.
