titleOfInvention | Method for producing polyuronic acid or a salt thereof |
abstract | The present invention provides a method for efficiently producing polyuronic acid or a salt thereof by a method that suppresses a decrease in the degree of polymerization and has a low environmental load. A process for producing polyuronic acid or a salt thereof in which a cellulose-containing raw material is oxidized under neutral or acidic conditions in the presence of a radical scavenger and a nitroxyl radical compound. As the cellulose-containing raw material, one or more selected from regenerated cellulose, alkali-treated cellulose, and low crystalline cellulose are preferable. [Selection figure] None |
